Tour of the East Bank in Luxor in Egypt
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
On the East Bank of the Nile, you'll visit the well-preserved temple complexes of Karnak and Luxor. The experience will take you through two of ancient Egypt's most important religious sites, where the scale and stonework speak of long-ago beliefs and royal ambition. At Karnak you'll see the largest temple complex in Egypt, a vast group of structures dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonso. As you move through the site, you'll take in the layout and the monuments that mark its religious significance. At Luxor Temple you'll see the building dedicated by Ramses II, the pharaoh often described as the greatest builder of ancient Egypt, and explore the spaces he commissioned on the city’s sacred east bank.
